She is five years young and as energetic and smart as they come. Daisy came to us as a puppy and was supposed to be trained as a cattle dog. But since she stayed a little too small to work Angus, she ended up being a loved and spoiled “pet” who is Maggie Lou’s, (a Schnorkie) best friend.

Border Collie Information:

The Border Collie is a breed of herding dog originating in the Anglo-Scottish border region. They are known for their intelligence, agility, and energy and are considered one of the most intelligent dog breeds in the world.

The Border Collie’s history is long and storied. The breed is thought to have developed over centuries from a combination of landrace sheepdogs from all over the British Isles. The first Border Collies were likely used to herd sheep on the rugged hills and crags of the border region, where they needed to be both agile and intelligent in order to work effectively.

In the 19th century, Queen Victoria became a fan of the Border Collie, and the breed began to gain popularity outside of the border region. Border Collies were soon being exported to all over the world, where they were used for a variety of purposes, including herding sheep, cattle, and horses.

In the 20th century, Border Collies began to compete in sheepdog trials, where they were judged on their ability to herd sheep quickly and efficiently. Border Collies quickly became dominant in sheepdog trials, and the breed’s popularity continued to grow.

Today, Border Collies are still used for herding, but they are also popular pets and working dogs. Border Collies are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and energy, and make great companions for active families.
